Make sure to bring a valid ID though, and be at least 18 years of age. Another important point to mention is that you can get a fine of (ironically) €420 in this city when smoking outside. Located on walking distance from the central train station you can visit Coffeeshop Andorra. In our opinion this shop deserves the first place in our list. Even though we in general are more likely to advise coffeeshops with a smoking area, Andorra still ranks on top of the list of best coffeeshops of Hilversum for us.
Coffeeshop Andorra opened its doors in 1984 and has become a known name in the city. While the founder sold his coffeeshop to a new owner in 2017, the mission is still the same: offering great quality cannabis products with an ever better service. At Andorra you can be assured to find something you desire, as they offer a variety of high quality sativa and indica strains. The staff is always friendly and happy to think along as well as answer any of the questions you might have.
For price quality ratio this coffeeshop deserves its first place. Last time we’ve been here they had a discount of buying 5 grams, paying 4 grams. Just ask at the counter what the most popular strains are and try something new!

If you are looking for a coffeeshop with a nice smoking area as well as high quality weed and hash, we highly recommend De Professor. Also on just a couple of minutes’ walk from the central train station this shop has a great location. The coffeeshop already exists for more than 25 years but changed owners since 2011.
De Professor focusses on: quality, customer satisfaction and a feeling at home atmosphere. All three things you can expect from visiting this coffee shop. The smoking area gives a great vibe and plenty of room to hang out. They offer some food and drinks options, making sure you are comfortable and have everything you need to spend some time here.
Regarding the cannabis menu you’re at the right place at De Professor. They have a quite extensive offer. It is usually a bit on the expensive side, but you do get value for your money.

Coffeeshop Promenade also belongs in the list of best coffeeshops in Hilversum. The shop has a large smoking area which feels very welcoming to hang around with some friends and smoke weed. They also offer some games for your entertainment.
Also for just take away we would recommend Promenade. We always like when they weigh the buds in front of your eyes, as they do at this coffeeshop. Usually coffeeshops sometimes give a discount when you buy 5 grams, but at Promenade they already do this when buying 3 grams. This is the first time we came across this in a shop, always good to pay a little bit less.
The staff is very knowledgeable and has experience themselves with the products they sell. This makes it easier to ask any specific questions and get support. Overall we definitely recommend Promenade, both to spend time or take-away only.
4. Coffeeshop De Kikker

Also coffeeshop De Kikker is located on just a couple minutes away from the central train station. You can’t miss the shop if you are looking for a green building with a big frog illustration on the frontage. The interior exudes a warm, inviting ambiance reminiscent of a classic Dutch 'bruin café' (brown café), characterized by its rich wooden accents and cozy atmosphere.
The staff is friendly at De Kikker and takes time to explain the offer on their menu. They do not offer a very wide variety but definitely some nice strains at very good prices. Last time we visited this weed dispensary, we bought both blue cookies and the classic amnesia haze. Both strains were good and we would recommend.
One last pro is that De Kikker has its own parking spots in front of the coffeeshop. This is pretty unusual for a shop, especially when located in the center city. If you come by car, De Kikker is probably the easiest and best choice of this list in Hilversum.

Previously known as coffeeshop ‘’Oke’’, coffeeshop GLX (Galaxy) is a known name in Hilversum. This shop offers a pretty big smoking area with lots of entertainment. The atmosphere feels welcoming to sit down and chill.
At GLX they offer quite a lot of different strains, some better than others. Overall, if you pay a little bit more you get better quality cannabis than going for the cheapest options. Only the cheap ‘’gruis’’ (grit) option was surprisingly good. Back when we visited it was 5 euro per gram and for grit it was very good, no small leaves but quite big buds.
