Can foreigners buy weed in Breda?
In general, tourists are not allowed to buy cannabis in coffeeshops in Breda. The coffeeshops are not allowed to sell foreigners weed, unless you are registered in this city. Unfortunately this happens a lot in cities in the south of the Netherlands. But if you travel for about 30 minutes east you can go to the coffeeshops in Tilburg, which do allow tourists to buy cannabis.
Coffeeshop The Cat

Reviews Google: 4.3/5
Are tourists allowed in coffeeshop The Cat: No, tourists are not allowed
Smoking area: No
On the east side of Breda, next to the Brabantpark, you will find coffeeshop The Cat, which is for sure one of the best coffeeshops of Breda! Started in 2013, The Cat is a known location in town. Since 2022 the coffeeshop has a new owner and since this period it has improved a lot. The new interior is beautiful and offers a good vibe. Be aware, this coffeeshop doesn’t have a smoking area, so it is pick-up only. But if you’re not looking for a place to hang out, we highly recommend a visit to The Cat
The Cat is known for their good price quality ratio, offering a pretty wide variety of strains. Last time we’ve been here we bought Watermelon Gelato and it was amazing, sweet and got us very high! The packaging of the weed is also nicely done, with a good branding per strain, something most other coffeeshops can learn from in The Netherlands.
This coffeeshop is mostly outstanding in the service they offer. You can always ask all your questions, and the people working here are very friendly.

Located in the center city of Breda, you can visit coffeeshop Fly’n’Hy. Also this coffeeshop is only for pick-up, but it is for sure one of the best places to buy cannabis in the city. The shop has a modern and luxurious interior, making it a nice place to wait in line.
Overall they have some nice different strains, with prices of 10-15 euro per gram weed. The packaging and branding of the weed is very nice here.
Just as with the other coffeeshops in Breda you can buy legal government weed at Coffeeshop Fly’n’Hy during the weed experiment. If you didn’t already, it is worth a try in our opinion.
Coffeeshop Pax
Address: Nijverheidssingel 8, Breda
Reviews Google: 4.1/5
Are tourists allowed in coffeeshop Pax: No, tourists are not allowed

Coffeeshop Pax is probably the most reputable coffeeshop in town. It has a history dating back to 1989, and is as far as we known the only coffeeshop on a boat in the Netherlands! Walking on the jetty to the entrance is a cool experience, which only gets better when you get inside.
The coffeeshop boat has been renewed recently and now has a beautiful and cozy interior. More importantly, they have a big variety of different strains of weed and hash. Pax is known for their great quality and are very knowledgeable staff which are willing to give you advice.
We here more and more good stories about this shop, and find the overall experience on the boat the best you can find in Breda. So if you have ‘high’ standards, make sure to give a visit to coffeeshop Pax!
Coffeeshop Sky

Coffeeshop Sky is also one of the best coffeeshops of Breda. It is a family owned business, with a fast and friendly service. Also this shop is pick-up only, but there are plenty of nice spots nearby to smoke your weed if it is spring or summer 😉
Sky offers a lot of different choices and you are assured that the quality of the cannabis and hash is always good in this shop. They always make time to answer any questions you have and have a lot of knowledge about the strains they sell.
Coffeeshop Het Paradijs
Address: Sint Annastraat 3
Reviews Google: 4.0/5
Are tourists allowed in coffeeshop Het Paradijs: No, tourist are not allowed
Smoking area: Yes
Coffeshop Het Paradijs is in our opinion the best coffeeshop in Breda which does have a smoking area. The atmosphere is great and it is a nice place to hang around for a couple of hours while smoking some weed.
Big pro of this shop is that you can smell the different strains they sell, and for the legal weed they show the date of harvest and THC and CBD content on the packaging. This is common now for the coffeeshops in the cities involved in the weed experiment. We think this is a good development toward a more transparent market.
For good quality weed you are at the right place here, as well as a friendly service. If you’re around and want to sit down somewhere inside, we recommend coffeeshop Het Paradijs.
