Located very close to the train station, you can visit coffeeshop Birdy. If you are looking for a place to buy amazing quality weed in combination with a great atmosphere, we highly recommend to stop by Birdy. The coffeeshop has a living room vibe and feels very welcoming to hang out with some friends or smoke alone. Beside relaxed sitting places they provide several things for entertainment such as a pool table and plenty of games. In the shop they put a sign that you can bring your own food, or order food and bring the delivery inside as long as you buy a drink and afterwards put everything in the dishwasher. Great proof of a nice community and environment in our opinion.
For the cannabis menu you are also at the right place at coffeeshop Birdy. They offer a lot of different strains of both weed and hash and are known for the provided quality. It has been a while since we visited the shop but last time bought Mexican Haze, the fact that we still remember proofs that it was outstanding! They also offered several edibles such as THC lolly’s and space gummies.

While we intended to select the 5 best coffeeshops from Haarlem, we couldn’t choose between the 3 coffeeshops from ‘’Willie Wortel’’. For a long period of time the Willie Wortel coffeeshops are a known name in Haarlem. In our opinion all three coffeeshops are a solid choice to both hang out and smoke or for take away only. In the shops they provide well designed smoking areas with plenty of entertainment.
While for example the name Willie Wortel’s Sativa indicates that they mainly focus on selling sativa, this is actually not the case. At the Sativa coffeeshop they offer a wide variety of both sativa and indica strains, as well as some hybrid options. So selecting on of these shops based on your preference is not necessary, as the wide menu offers something for everybody. Last time we hopped by Willie Wortel’s Sativa they sold THC Honey, something we didn’t see before. Ideal addition to a nice cup of tea!

At Doelstraat 29 you can visit Coffeeshop Haarlem. Back in the day coffeeshop The Lounge was located here, recently rebranded (or taken over, we don’t know) to Coffeeshop Haarlem. This shop has outstanding quality standard for both the weed they sell as well as the staff working here. According to their website the staff working here are certified by ‘’Keurmerk Coffeeshops’’, indicating their focus on quality and professionalism.
Coffeeshop Haarlem works together with Amsterdam Genetics, a well-known Dutch company specialized in growing cannabis. They sell high quality cannabis seeds and everything else that comes along with growing. Because of this cooperation, Coffeeshop Haarlem offers a wide variety of cannabis, hash and even extracts. They offer everything to use weed in one the many different ways possible. We highly recommend white choco block, one of our favorite strains of hash. Be aware though as this is a really potent one and probably not the best choice for beginners. They staff is very knowledgeable and willing to help you selecting the best suitable products for you.
The smoke area is neat and quite big, in our opinion a little bit to ‘’sterile’’. It does not really give a living room vibe but it still is a solid place to hang out. Overall, for both take away and smoking inside we definitely recommend Coffeeshop Haarlem!

Hunter’s has a total of 6 coffeeshops located in the Netherlands, mostly in Amsterdam. They exist since 1985 and are well known for their quality and knowledge they are willing to share about everything related to cannabis. In Haarlem they have 1 coffeeshop: Hunter’s coffeeshop Haarlem. This is for sure one of the best coffeeshops of Haarlem.
At this weed dispensary you can be sure to get an excellent service. The staff is very knowledgeable of the products they sell. The shop itself is very clean and offers a great environment to smoke the delicious strains they have.
For the weed menu you will have a hard time choosing! For just the weed strains they offer about 20 different choices, of which several strains were completely new to us. Add 10 different hash strains to that, and some homemade edibles, and Hunter’s coffeeshop Haarlem is one of the shops with the most extensive menu we came across in the Netherlands.

Nestled in the heart of Haarlem, in one of the most popular streets in the city, lies a great coffeeshops that is around in the city since 1985. This establishment, formerly known as High Times, has become a household name for both locals and tourists.
Recently, the shop has been taken over by a couple of young entrepreneurs and rebranded to ‘’The Greengrocers’’, with the intention to offer the best price/quality ratio in the region. The staff is open to advise and they offer something for everybody for both personal and medical use of cannabis.
The changes the new owners made to this coffeeshop are very promising and definitely a great addition to the city of Haarlem.
