When do edibles kick in?

The time it takes for edibles to kick in can vary widely, typically ranging from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Several factors contribute to this variation, including your metabolism, the type of edible, and whether you've eaten recently.

Individuals with faster metabolisms might feel the effects of edibles like space cake sooner than those with slower metabolisms. The kind of edible also plays a significant role. For instance, gummies, brownies, and beverages are all digested differently. Beverages tend to take effect faster than solid edibles because they are absorbed more quickly.

Additionally, consuming edibles on an empty stomach can lead to a quicker onset, whereas eating them after a meal can delay the effects.

Given these variables, it's crucial to start with a low dose and wait at least two hours before consuming more to avoid overconsumption. Also, keep some non-infused snacks on hand for when the munchies hit. This will help prevent accidentally eating more of the edibles and potentially overconsuming.
